I’m an Irish writer living in Charlottesville, Virginia. I got my MFA from the University of Virginia, where I was a Poe-Faulkner fellow. I have taught creative writing to undergraduates at UVA and Sweet Briar College, to teens at the Young Writers Workshop, and to community members at Writer House in Charlottesville. My essays, short stories, reviews, and interviews have appeared in The Dublin Review, The Stinging Fly, Literary Hub, and other outlets. I am working on a book about aunts and a long-ago murder.
